Phase Monkey is a polyphonic synthesizer that draws inspiration from the classic phase distortion synthesis technology popular in the mid-1980s. This innovative instrument offers a fresh interpretation of the traditional sound engine, featuring the rare eight-stage envelopes. The outcome is an incredibly versatile digital tool capable of generating a wide range of sounds, from soothing pads to vibrant leads and aggressive bass tones.

The synthesizer offers eight classic phase distortion waveforms, a dedicated modulation oscillator enabling ring or noise modulation, and three exceptional eight-stage envelopes. It facilitates intricate pitch and timbre modulation through envelopes, provides an LFO with five waveforms for traditional modulation effects, and includes master controls such as portamento, random voice pan, onboard chorus, and gain adjustments.

Key behavior modes include polyphonic, monophonic retrig, and monophonic legato. Moreover, the synth supports various MIDI modulation sources like mod wheel, pitch bend, velocity, aftertouch (channel), and key follow. It comes equipped with 40 carefully crafted factory presets to assist users in kickstarting their musical journey.
